HWKR
Inspired by the widely-loved hawker centres of Asia, HWKR was the brainchild of ICD Property and Brand Works with designs by Craig Tan Architects.
An innovative disruptor to Melbourne’s food scene when it opened in February 2018, HWKR operated on a promise to always deliver something new and exciting to its consumers.
The food centre comprised of one anchor tenant with many more who functioned as café by day and bars by night, along with four kitchens that rotated tenants every 4 – 6 months.
Focused on innovation, HWKR incorporated free WiFi, cashless ordering, WeChat pay, and a HWKR app to prompt ease of ordering for consumers.
HWKR redefined hospitality standards forever in one beautifully designed destination featuring neon signage, LED lighting, lanterns, and timber tables.
