Overcoming hurdles faced by previous would-be developers of this high profile Sydney CBD location, ICD Property negotiated an almost unanimously-supported agreement with the 18,000-strong membership of the City Tattersalls Club. Calling on the skills of highly regarded local architecture firms, fjmt and BVN, ICD Property currently have initial plans for the redevelopment of this 120-year-old club and the airspace above.
Stage 1 Development Application (DA) with Sydney City Council was submitted in October 2018, with the proposal comprising the City Tattersalls Club’s rejuvenated lower level premises, complete with ground floor retail, bar, restaurants, and ballroom. A commercial gym, circa 100-room hotel (plus ancillary facilities), and approximately 240 plus apartments are to be added above.
We are extremely proud of our partnership with CTC, one of Sydney’s oldest social clubs. An astounding 94% of the club’s membership voted in favour of our proposed development.
This high profile redevelopment will cement the future vitality and prosperity of the club and introduce a dynamic and sophisticated hotel and residential offering to Pitt Street and Sydney CBD.
