The Maple development, which was a joint venture with Melbourne-based property developer ANGLE and Buxton Group, is located in the leafy suburb of Hawthorn and features a sophisticated retail offering on the ground floor with five storeys of spacious apartments above. The $30 million development was designed by Stokes Architects with interiors by Studio You Me and landscapes by Urban Commons. Maple was constructed by Figurehead, which was responsible for delivering the project nice and early.
“Maple was a significant accomplishment for ICD Property and our partners. The winning combination of developers, architect, builder and consultants team allowed us to create apartments that were enthusiastically embraced by the discerning Hawthorn market,” said Sal Quah, Operations Director of ICD Property.
“The size of the apartments – the smallest one bedroom apartment is a large 51sqm – and the abundance of natural light have been popular selling points. We saw a lower than average default rate upon settlement, which goes to show we delivered a highly sought after product at a reasonable price point,” said Simone Gervasi, Development Manager of ICD Property.
The development features an alluring Maple tree on the third story terrace and a glowing sun kissed bronze facade. In a few months time, the team behind cafés of the same name in the CBD and Richmond, Tall Timber in Prahran and Short Straw in Hawthorn will open their third Rustica Canteen serving up freshly made breakfast and lunch dishes featuring Rustica Sourdough’s breads and pastries with the finest locally sourced ingredients.
