Just an eight-minute drive from the district’s CBD and 15 minutes to Eastern Beach, the development will offer the best of many worlds – proximity to a thriving metropolis and quaint township as well as a scenic river and the coast.
Once an industrial centre with paper and flour mills, a quarry and cement factory, the town now boasts numerous heritage-listed sites dating back to the early 19th century.
Against this historical backdrop, ICD Property and joint-venture partner Supalai are developing a modern 1000-lot residential estate.
The first two stages of Gen Fyansford – Riverside and Monier – have already sold out and just a few lots remain in stage three – Panorama- with its views across the Moorabool River.
As residents are beginning to move in, ICD Property is preparing to release another stage.
The new precinct, The West End, will initially offer around 40 lots early this year. Eventually it will expand to about 100 parcels catering to a diverse range of housing designs, with streetscapes centred around access to parklands.
Tract Consultants is managing the project’s town planning aspects, landscapes and urban design, while architects ClarkeHopkinsClarke will design a neighbourhood village will include a supermarket.
The Moorabool River is brimming with birdlife and the precinct will be rejuvenated with walking and cycling paths, playgrounds, and barbeque and exercise areas.
Prices for West End will start at $180,000 and average $250,000.
Four display homes are already open at Gen Fyansford and this will grow to 12 before the launch of the display village in March.
